According to Dr. Naila Rabbani, the University of Warwick Medical School suggests that conducting urine & blood tests of an autistic individual at an early stage can help us to diagnose the autism condition. The team revealed causative factors that ultimately identify unique plasmatic & urinary profiles that redirect us to understand the condition in a better way. The operation was initiated out with the usage of reactive oxygen species & sugar molecules that impulsively transformed proteins.

The group of academics & biologists found in the research that there exists an underlying association between autism & the wreckage caused to body proteins in the blood plasma of an autistic individual. Additionally, kids diagnosed with autism condition had possessed higher levels of oxidative markers DITYROSINE which contained specific sugar compounds that were changing rapidly. These sugar transformed compounds also denoted as “Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs)”.

Dr. Rabbani & her team conducted an experiment by collecting the blood samples of 38 children who were aged between 5- 12 years who were autistic, as well as from the 31 normal kids. Thereby, with the help of a computer algorithm, it has been revealed that children with autism & the normal ones experience chemical differences among them. Apart from this, the team worked relentlessly with the collaboration of the University of Bologna, Italy conducted several tests for achieving the results that can precisely detect protein changes in the blood & urine. Henceforth, Dr. Rabbani comments “With further testing, we may reveal specific plasma and urinary profiles or 'fingerprints' of compounds with damaging modifications."
